What's in a NAME!!! =)

Names are actually really important, they help us to differentiate us from one another. Anyway, according to the question why my parents didn't name me Princess Consuela because I'm not a female or Mentos as it would sound ridiculous. In this book I read, 'Wolfskin', there's a princess , Nessa who thinks that names can tell people about the person himself/herself.

Anyway, when too many people have the same name, even if the name is something glamorous, it will become something common because too many people have it. Like if only one person is named Tom in a decade, then 'Tom' would not be a common name anymore.

I think that most parents won't name their children 'Mentos' or 'Potato' or something like that as it would sound ridiculous and people would tease them. If th child's surname was Chip then definitely they won't name him/her Potato because the child's full name would be Potato Chip which would really be a ridiculous thing.

P.S. By the way, my mother said that my name means 'gift from God' which kind of proves Nessa's point as you can infer that my family believes in the Lord.

P.S.S. My mother named my brother and sister after saints.

P.S.S.S. My sister's name is Emelyn and my brother's name is Joshua

P.S.S.S.S. This makes me wonder whether Joshua F. is a born Christian/Catholic/Anglican/Methodist/______(blah...blah...blah)

You are very amusing. Did you know that some parents DO give their children funny names? I had a student who was unfortunately named "Jelly". There was also a BOY who was named "Wendy"!
