I feel that names are to differentiate people from others. Let say my name is Elias whoch it is, do you know any body else who is called Elias ? I do not think so and I do not know anyone who is called Elias! Names are special and most people have special names!
My name is after Elijah or Elisha who were prophets in the bible. My sis ter's means light and my brother's is also after another prophet!
I was given this name because my parents wanted me to follow after good people and be truthful, dilligent, servant of God and maybe ALL THE GOOD THINGS IN THE WORLD!

I agree with you that names have special meanings. My husband and I specially chose our children's names because of their meanings.
