Polycarp

I think Polycarp is there just to show how Germans treat inanimate objects compared to how Germans actually treated Jews during the second World War.
It was a good measure mark to show how disrespectful Germans were to Jews and how resentful of the Jews Germans were. Like, Herr Resch treated an inanimate DWARF MODEL with far more care than he treated a Jew? Racial discrimination would be the word.
Therefore i can conclude Polycarp is just there as a measure mark to show to what extent did the Germans hate Jews during the Second World War.
