Cool story!
FOUR THINGS I LIKED ABOUT IT:
1) It had a lot of good adjectives in it and the story just flowed beautifully.
2) It made good use of suspense and displayed Diana's feelings.
3) It has the power to really engage its reader and pulls the reader along in its plot.
4) It doesn't have much dialogue, which is usually boring, but in this case it works for the story and makes it even better.
I hope in the future I could write something like it! :]
And yay, I'm first!
-Grace
... must "john" be that bad?
"John" saw the email after playing maple and saw this. BUT grace beat him to it. second place is still good though! :) ... is it a SHORT story?
I loved it because of:
One: The author portrayed Diana's feelings carefully and it is quite detailed.
Two: As the person whose commment is above me has stated, it has a lot of excellent(better than good)adjectives to describe about the scenario, surroundings, feelings and so on.
Three:The author has the ability to let the reader picture the story in his mind.
Four: The author shows contrasts and similarities between two subjects before and after.
For example:
"She slowed down, he slowed down. She accelerated, he accelerated. "
I hope I am second
P.S. good luck ppl for scrabble competition on 2th june!
same here for the scrabble thing!
and, john, yes, it must be that bad to have your name in the story.
2) it's a short story. yes. maybe you were just reading it too anxiously.
3) it's COMMENT and not COMMMENT. :D
Yes, Grace, I really liked the story!
Yay THIRD!
FOUR THINGS I LIKED ABOUT THE STORY:
1) The building up of suspense before the climax was pretty good
2) Also, the setting of the scene was fairly elaborate.
3) Displayed Diana's feelings well
4) Engaged and captivated its reader (ME!) with the interesting storyline
--CHINGYING.
Haha John, embarrassing to be portrayed as someone who earns less than a woman?
At least it isn't your FULL name or it would've been worse...
I can do this post even without reading the story.=)Haha
4 things I liked about the story:
1) The font
2) The size of the font
3) The background
4) The number of words the story has.
Then again... I'd be blasted for the info above. So.. here's the REAL and MORE SENSIBLE 4 things I liked about the story:
1)The author described the scene very well.
2)The way the author starts off each paragraph is different, and makes the story more interesting.
3)The author keeps building up the climax by using certain incidents that involved Diana.
4)It took me just 5 minutes to finish reading the story!
um, why tell ME that you liked the story, ching ying?
it seems that we are not really posting rather relevant stuff... :)
BEEP.
{
ENTRY="LETITIA"
&VALUE="FOURTHINGSLIKED"
AUTHOR="JEFFREYARCHER"
STORY="EXCERPT;NEVERSTOPONTHEMOTORWAY"
}
(1)[the story was well written, the reader(me) just went along with it]
(2)[it shows Diana as a human, who does human things, isn't perfect and has quite a few faults]
(3)[it is very realistic, such things could happen to anybody living in the City]
(4)[there is a nice story twist]
BEEEEEEP.
Sorry, I feel like a robot for no reason. >_>.
Nice story!
The stuff that I liked about it is:
1) The captivating and engaging storyline
2) The fact that each detail is clearlt portrayed
3) Diana's feelings are well expressed
4) It doesn't exxagerate and shows human life the way it is
I did not know that you could write so well Jeff, but anyway what I like..erm..well it was an exellent story...how to summarise...
Ok then, here they are:1)The suspense was killing me.
2)The situation was described very well.
3)It was very engaging because of its words. I could not take my eyes off it once I got into the part when the man with the leather jacket started chasing Diana.
4) And Finally(Dramatically)... The ending was superb. I was actually dumbstruck for a few moments when I realised that the killer was in the car!
Ooooh! And, of course, everyone agrees with it...THE STORY ROCKS!!!!!!!!!
Nice!
VROOM VROOM
OK- here it goes..
1)the story is detailed
2)the story is very dramatic, lots of supense
3)it is very easy to understand
4)it has a very interesting plot- especially the part where the killer was actually in her own car! WOHOOO! YEAH!
ADAM
Heyyy...cool story :)
Well... here are the 4 things I liked about it:
(1) The descriptive words used in the story help to create vivid images for the readers and this helps them to relate the story to their own real life experiences. The sentence fluency is wonderful too!
(2) Diana is a rather compelling character. She has more than one dimension to her and throughout the story, more information about her is revealed bit by bit almost as if the author is peeling away layer after layer of her to reveal her innermost being.
(3) The author uses suspense to keep his readers hooked onto the story and I find this is a very useful tool in writing!
(4) It ends in a twist. The irony at the end is very interesting and it leaves a great impact on the reader, thus making the story quite an unforgettable read.
Natasha
What's nice about the story:
1) The way the author describes every little detail in the story
2)It makes me want to read the story again
3)The story has a very interesting plot
4)There is plenty of suspense in the story
1) I liked how the story had good adjectives.
2)The story is well described.
3)The stor had a touch of realism.
4)The story was refresing
Anyway, i'm revising :(, while playing maple( But not at the same time)
Nice story! I really liked the story, though it is just not me to read an adventure story, in this case, a car chase.
Things I liked about the story:
1) THE ADJECTIVES!!! The story was filled with beautiful adjectives, making the reader feel as if he/she were in the story witnessing every move and word the characters said.
2) The suspense of the story. All good stories, whether short or not, need suspense.
3) There is no exaggeration. Most stories that i have read all exaggerate many points.
4) THE TWIST AT THE END!!! Twists make the story more interesting.
The four things i like about the story is that
1)The story is well described.
2)There is suspense in this story and the reader is left guessing the outcome
3)The story makes people feel like reading it over again
4)There is a twist at the end and the 'killer' is not the man but the guy in the car.
1)Not much dialogue
2)Uses good adjectives and phrases
3)Good plot
4)Not using boring endings
Wow. I love this story! The ending was... I don't know how to descibe it.
I like:
1)THE SUSPENSE. Especially the part where Diana was hoping the gate to the farm was open. I found myself sweating and breathing heavily when I finished reading the story.
2)THE EVENTS LEADING TO THE CLIMAX AND THE CLIMAX. I was so relieved when Diana made it to the farm safely, surprised when the man following her said about somebody in the car and realisation hit me when I saw the man with the knife. But what does the cat that she knocked down have to do with the story?
3)THE IMPACT PARTS OF THE STORY GAVE ME like "It was open.", "I saw him get in when you were parked on the hard shoulder. What else could I have done? You just wouldn't pull over." and "But then her laugh turned to a scream as she saw the black van cut sharply across the freeway in front of a truck, mount the grass verge, and career onto the side road, swinging from side to side." through the use of paragraphs, adjectives and so on.
4)THE ENDING. [As Samantha said]Turns out the "real bad guy" was in her car after all. I wonder why the man with the knife - is that the murderer? - didn't attempt to kill her while she was in the car.
Ta-da!
Long story...
The 4 things:
1) It made good use of adjectives.
2) The plot is very exciting.
3) The suspense is good.
4) It was engaging.
1)It is descriptive, it had a lot of good adjectives.
2)It has an excellent plot
3)The climax was interesting.
4)It is easy to understand and not like those uber-thick novels like Harry Potter and such which I would often forget about the plot after a day or two of not reading
P.S. There is no P.S.
err... is there supposed to be something in my email?
can't find it...
Yeah this story is nice!
The four things that were interesting:
1) They used many useful adjectives to describe the scene and the author did not put in good words just for the sake of doing it
2) It was really interesting!
3) It had a good storyline
4) It had a interesting starting that led all the way up to the climax of the story.
XD Tze How XD
The story was really wonderful, and sadly, I couldn't find anything to dislike.
Four Things I LIKE About the Story:
Ichi-1) Detailed Character Development. VERY detailed.
Ni-2) The story continues on a nice pace - not too fast, not too slow.
San-3) The dialogue was fitted in well with the story (the RIGHT amount).
Yon-4) The details piece up to leave us with a cliffhanger* at the end. [sigh]
*Is that the correct term? (Reads too much FanFiction)
-Aileen

FOUR things I liked about this story:
one; The phrases were good and it made the story more detailed.
two; Diana's feelings were well portrayed.
three; The suspense was there, it kept me hooked on the story.
four; The ending was a nice twist.
Yupp so that's it! It is a nice story that makes me want to read it again(:
}!CANDICE.
<3>
Just read the story so here goes,
4 things I like about the story:
* The author was able to describe the setting so well that I was able to see what was happening. (More like visualise in my mind)
* The words used show that the author has a wide vocabulary which we can learn from.
* The rising action was filled with suspense and I was able to "feel" what Diana was feeling.
* Even after reading some of the comments about an unexpected ending, I didn't expect the story to end like it did.
So yeah, those are the FOUR THINGS I LIKE ABOUT THE STORY. I was trying to find something I disliked but the story was too well-written. (I suppose it was an "Exceptional" piece of work. xD)

2) The very detailed description of almost every feature in the story.

Yeah it's the Jeffrey Archer story.
Why four things?
Nevermind anyway.
FOUR things I liked about it:
1)It displayed Diana's feelings well.
2)It had lots of suspense building up to the climax
3)It captivated me
4)There was a nice twist in the story
Sandra - regarding your question:
Diana stopped and got out of the car after she knocked down the cat, thus allowing the murderer to get into her car unnoticed.

Things that I liked
1: Description of feelings and emotions of Diana is very detailed.
2: The entire chase of Diana by the Good Samaritan is told in great detail and leavesw the reader in suspense of what will happen to her.
3: Diana's knocking down of a cat on the road originally looked like it had little to do with the plot, but it gave the rapist-murderer the chance to get into her car.
4: The final twist in the tale.
P.S. Bean, you are totally crazy about pi.
P.S.S. Why didn't the murderer act during the entire chase?
"_" Great Story! (Since everyone is saying this I thought I’d chip in too)
FOUR THINGS ABOUT THE STORY...
1) The suspense keeps the reader reading and makes the reader want to know what is going to happen next.
2) Good describing words were used to make the story more interesting and colorful. (Note the describing words in this sentence)
3) The plot was good and was original, unlike other stories that always follow the same storyline. The unexpected twist at the end also helped to make the plot even better.
4) The characterisation was good and Diana was well developed. (I know this point is not much)
That's it...I have to go.
cheers to the scrabble ppl of team one!!!!! oh ya ben if it used nice names... that is the disadvantage for me
John...if you wanted to "cheers to the scrabble team 1", then why don't you do that at the scrabble blog? why on Mrs Simon's blog?

What I liked about this story:
1) The story flowed normally with a few jumps in the storyline.
