At the beginning, Friedrich was innocent, happy and well-off. He also was dependent on his parents for his education, food and well-being. However, at the end, he was aware of discrimination, grieving and poor. Friedrich was also independent and was being forced to mature faster than other people his age.

PS// I did a word count. Exactly 50 words! :)

At first, Friedrich was carefree because his family was well-off and he need not worry. However, ever since he was exposed to discrimination, he became anxious and precautious. Later on, he became more independent and daring as he felt that he had nothing else left to loose except his life.

At first, Friedrich was like any other child, innocent and happy. He was aware that he was a Jew, but this did not affect him much until he realised the discrimination against Jews. He slowly became more and more independent and brave as he had to try to survive alone.

At first friedrich was well-off, happy, innocent, trusting and dependent on his parent.

By the end, he was poor, angry, sad, mature, careful and very much aware of discrimination.

At the beginning of the book, Friedrich was relatively rich, innocent, happy, generous, unselfish, peaceful and helpful. However, at the end of the book, he was desperate, in need of support, poor, very sad and very cautious. From the start to the ending, he had grown more and more independent.

Friedrich was innocent by saying Heil Hitler at first. He did not know what he was saying and thought of Hitler in a good image. When he grows up, he matures quickly and starts to understand the situation. He grew aware and understanding of war, especially with the sudden change of events.

Friedrich used to be happy and carefree in the early years of his life and didn't understand much about the discrimination against Jews around him.
At the end, he was less dependent on the people around him and became an 'introvert' – he was very cautious even to his best friend.

At first, Friedrich was happy and innocent. He did not have much to worry about. His family was considered quite rich and had enough to eat. In the end, he is aware of the discrimination the Jews faced. He became more mature and independent. In appearance, he looked very dirty. He became more mature and independent.

(Note: Yay! :)50 words, excluding the “note” part. I think it is too little words. I had to cut the sentences short)

At first, Friedrich was more childish. He was not aware of how strongly the government was against Jews. However, as Friedrich faces different discrimination against Jews specifically against him e.g. swimming pool, movie, etc, he realises the seriousness of the situation in Germany. He became braver, more mature and independent.

At the start of the novel, Friedrich was naïve, free-spirited, polite and kind. As the novel continues, Friedrich starts to get puzzled and worried as the discrimination began. Later on, he gets more worried and cries in several occasions. Near the end, he still had the willpower to remain alive.
